Hosting your own photos instead of using services like Auctiva and eBay can save you hundreds of dollars. But when you host your own photos for use on the web or eBay you need to make them smaller than the orginal file size. In this demo we show you how to resize your photos using PhotoShop Elements
eBay, or other hosting services, will compress and resize your pictures after you upload them. You want to begin with the biggest acceptable size. eBay now recommends that you make your pictures 1000 px on their longest size. So that is the dimension we use in this demonstration.
When you upload photos for use on your own web site or blog, you may need to make them even smaller. That way they will load quickly and fit correctly on the viewer’s computer monitor.
